Volunteer Code of Conduct

Volunteers are essential to the success of East Valley Pit Bulls and play a significant role in advancing our mission. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior and ethical principles expected from all volunteers associated with our organization.
I. Mission and Values
Volunteers shall familiarize themselves with the mission, vision, and values of East Valley Pit Bulls and act in accordance with these principles.
II. Respect and Professionalism
Volunteers shall treat all individuals, including fellow volunteers, staff, beneficiaries, and the public, with respect, dignity, and professionalism.
Volunteers shall refrain from engaging in any form of discrimination, harassment, or disrespectful behavior.
III. Confidentiality
Volunteers shall respect the confidentiality of sensitive information about the organization, its beneficiaries, donors, and fellow volunteers.
Volunteers shall not disclose confidential information to unauthorized individuals without proper authorization.
IV. Commitment and Reliability
Volunteers shall fulfill their commitments, responsibilities, and assignments promptly and reliably.
If unable to meet a commitment, volunteers shall communicate their situation to the appropriate coordinator in advance.

Volunteers shall avoid any actions that could bring the organization into disrepute.

IX. Reporting Violations
Volunteers shall report any violations of this Code of Conduct or any concerns related to the organization to the appropriate authority within East Valley Pit Bulls.
X. Compliance and Accountability
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in a review by the organization's management.
Appropriate measures will be determined by the organization, which may include counseling, suspension, or termination of volunteer status, depending on the severity of the violation.
